Stelarc / ACT 3
Stelarc’s ACT 3 suspension tree photographed August 2023. Stelarc thought it important that the suspension take place with the telecommunication tower visible in the background. He also regarded the exposed roots (which he further excavated with a shovel) and threatening tilt of the tree as significant elements in his choice of performance site.
